Wilmer Rojas Sánchez

I am Wilmer Rojas Sánchez, pianist and educator with more than fifteen years of experience teaching music and foreign languages. My academic journey combines instrumental practice with a strong pedagogical foundation: I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM), where I focus on innovative methodologies for teaching in multicultural contexts.

From my earliest piano studies, I have cultivated a diverse repertoire ranging from the great classics — Chopin, Brahms, Debussy, Beethoven, Scarlatti — to Latin American composers such as Astor Piazzolla, whose work reflects my interest in transcultural identity and the richness of regional rhythms.

My teaching career has unfolded across multiple settings: local academies, digital platforms such as Preply and Superprof, and most recently through the creation of my own digital academy, PARLOT idiomas, where I integrate music and language instruction with technological tools. This experience has allowed me to work with students of different ages, levels, and nationalities, tailoring each class to their needs and goals.

In addition to music education, I teach Spanish as a foreign language, as well as English, French, and Portuguese. My approach emphasizes clarity, empathy, and motivation, ensuring that every student learns with confidence and enthusiasm.

I have lived in Qatar, Buenos Aires, and currently Colombia, experiences that have enriched my intercultural vision and adaptability in diverse environments. These experiences inspire me to promote learning that transcends borders and connects people through music and language.

Alongside teaching, I develop projects in piano performance recording and self‑evaluation, sharing interpretations and reflections on digital platforms and social media. I am also deeply interested in the management of educational ventures, which has led me to study finance applied to cultural and academic projects.

My purpose as a pianist and educator is to inspire each student to discover their own voice, whether through the keyboard or through language, and to accompany them on a path of discipline, creativity, and personal growth.
